Alon Shabo’s store in Tel Aviv-Jaffa.

Alon Shabo, a pastry chef renowned for his meticulously made pastries and desserts, opened his first concept store in the south of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, offering his freshly baked pastries along selected design items.
A unique project in which the space, the branding and the products, all correspond a coherent aesthetic vision. This required creating an individual and refined brand identity through a visual language composed of a delicate layering of materials and textures, and a precise colour palette.
The space echoes the honest approach in which the client supports; bare materials as concrete and stainless steel along visible infrastructure elements, all create a clean and straightforward feel. Transparent glass allows a clear view of the preparation and production area, both from the street as well as from the store’s interior.
The design aims to reflect the raw and minimalist aesthetic of the architectural elements, but also to allow a soft and inviting scale, by dividing the space to smaller geometric areas and volumes. These custom designed and made fixtures, create various shelving systems and surfaces.
Key features are a grooved concrete wall that acts as a background and conceals the restroom, and perforated powder-coated steel boxes and shelves, picking up a bright colour from the store’s packaging and contrasting with the muted tones of the walls and ceiling.
